5 Reasons to visit our Hometown this Spring Break!

Spring Break is here! The sun is out and everyone is on the move. Are you planning a visit to our hometown or will you be passing through? Here is a list of 5 great places to visit and wonderful things to do around our town of Auburn, Alabama.

Chewacla State Park

Chewacla is must do for those who love the outdoors! This park has it all including mountain bike trails, camping sites, trails for hiking and a 26-acre lake. Fishing is permitted in the lake so don’t forget your poles 🎣

2. Samford Lawn and Downtown

I group these two together because there is NO way that you would do one without the other! 💁‍♀️ Walking around the beautiful Auburn University campus and visiting Toomer’s Lemonade go hand in hand. After throwing the football in front of one of the most iconic/beautiful college buildings (I might be biased 😉), you can easily stroll through our quaint downtown to browse through the great shops or grab a bite to eat.

Which brings me to #3....

3. Fill your Tummy or Just Chill with a Cup of Coffee

We have some of THE BEST local restaurants and coffee shops! Some of my favorites include: Acre, The Depot, The Hound, Sushi Bistro, Tucos, Amsterdam Cafe and Live Oaks.

And I love to sit back with a cup of coffee or chat with my friends at Ross House Coffee, One Bike Coffee or Momma Mochas. ☕️ You won’t regret trying any of these!

4. Tee Off

Did you know that the Auburn area is home to 6 golf courses...that’s a lot for a town with a population of only 63k!

5. Visit our Neighboring city of Opelika!!

Only minutes from Auburn is the quaint little town of Opelika! It’s downtown is full of great shops, an Icecream parlor (O Town Icecream) 🍦and some amazing restaurants including Cafe 123. The history in this town is very apparent and the railroad is everywhere!
